Problem of and try to rename the correct given name Mitch

I tried to make a correct name of the Olympic Champion, Gymnastics, 1984 Mitch Gaylord. Mitchell can never be used in the first name. And I need help. His birth name is Mitchell Jay Gaylord. Mitchell Gaylord has to change for an update into the right given name. Mitch. Not Mitchell.

Thank you for posting this submission reference number! Taking a look, typically, the primary name for an individual should be the one by which they are most often credited with.
However, we make exceptions to this rule when the page has been claimed (by that individual or their representative), in which this is the case for this name page. We will retain the name that the page is claimed under.
