I understand completely. Any chance you could suggest a good translation website? I understand Google Translate isn't exactly 100% reliable when it comes to accuracy.

I think you're right about that, but I actually think that goes for all translation sites, as they can never (fully) know the context of the film and very probably miss the human nuances that make language language. With pleasure, ljdoncel. It's the opening lines of dialogue from "Close Encounters of the Third Kind." The Federale always says his lines way too fast for me to pick out individual words to translate, they're not in the subtitle files, and I haven't been able to find them online. I finally discovered a DVD that had them written out in the Closed Captions, and thought it would make sense to copy them out and post them online for anyone else who might be similarly frustrated trying to figure out what's being said.

Some bits of dialogue are difficult to understand because sometimes several people speak at the same time, but here is a transcript of what is said in that first scene: 001 - [Project Leader] Are we the first? 002 - [Federale 1, in Spanish] ¿Qué dice? 003 - [Project Leader] Are we the first to arrive here? 004 - [Federale 2, in Spanish] ¿Qué dice? 005 - [Federale 3, in Spanish] No sé. 006 - [Project Leader, in Spanish] ¿Somos los primeros? 007 - (Now two Federales talk at the same time, hard to understand) ------- [Federale 1, in Spanish] (not sure) ¿Los primeros de qué? ------- [Federale 2, in Spanish] Ah, sí, entiendo.
