Solved

Release Date always getting rejected

I'm trying to submit a Release date for an upcoming project, but always gets rejected because of invalid release type, even if I select any option form the dropmenu. Providing an explanation doesn't help either.

Hi @alejocb,

Thank you for your problem report.

In order for me to look into this, could you please select the "Save for later" button at the bottom of the form, and then respond to this thread with the 18-digit submission reference for this contribution. You will find this in the "Saved Updates" section of your Contribution History

Thanks!

Hi @alejocb,

Thank you for the reference.

It appears you were viewing an older version of the form, which does not match my experience when viewing your saved submission (see screenshot below).

Please re-load your submission from the "Saved Updates" section in your Contribution History, and select "Premiere event" from the drop-down in the "Select release type" field. You will then need to follow the instructions detailed in the rejection warning in my screenshot above. Once you have completed the "Additional information" field, the release date data should be highlighted green and be ready to submit.

Please let us know if you experience any further issues.

Cheers!

Hello Ozzy.

The release type shown in the screenshot I provided wasn't the correct release type I was going to upload. I was just trying different types to check if any worked.
The release type I actually wanted to use is ''theatrical release'', for which it also rejects the upload even if I provide an explanation.

Sorry for the confussion.
Here's a screenshot where the error still occurs.

Hi @alejocb,

Thank you for the additional information. I am unable to reproduce your view of this form when loading your submission. Please see the attached screenshot below for my view. Can you please let us know whether you're manually entering "theatrical release" in the Release Type field? As you should be able to select "In cinemas nationwide" from a drop-down list as seen in my screenshot.

If you're still experiencing the rejection warning in your view of the form, please try an alternative internet browser to submit the update.

Cheers!

Hello @Ozzy.
I've tried both selecting "theatrical release" both manually and from the drop-down menu list, but with no success.
I've tried with Chrome and Firefox, no luck either way.
Is there any chance you can finish the submission for me?
Thanks

Hi @alejocb,

Thank you for confirming the above.

Could you try loading this reference in the Load Previous Update field in your Contribution History?

250107-154010-369200

If all the boxes are green when you've loaded that update, you'll be ready to submit. Just FYI as well - to avoid a partial declined submission, you will need to amend your Plot Summary to be written in English, as per our guidelines

Please let me know if the above solution doesn't work and I can provide further support.

Cheers!

Hi @Ozzy
Now it worked, and I also changed the Plot Summary to English.

Thank you very much for your help!!

@Ozzy

The error - the absence of the "select release type" dropdown - also happened to someone else previously:
