Removal of a review

Question. I have well over 400 reviews on IMDb. It's been a great way for me to keep track of the movies/TV shows I've seen. Sometimes the reviews are denied. I come to this forum, I explain myself, and a clarifying response is offered. But today, my question is about a review that I remember writing for a film called "Reign Over Me" (2007, starring Adam Sandler). I am fairly certain I wrote a review and it was posted on IMDB. But upon further investigation, I cannot find that review. If, for some reason, someone did not like the review and "reported" it, would I, as the person who wrote the review, be given a chance to correct whatever issue caused the report? Or does IMDb check the review and then, based on the report, delete it? I'm asking because I am certain I wrote a review for this film and that it was posted, but now I cannot find it. What is the protocol when someone reports a review? Thank you.

Hi Tatami53- Thank you for posting the information! After further reviewing, yes, this user review was reported as it does not meet our User review guidelines. Your review contained partially censored profanity and expressions of negative sentiment towards a performer, characterper which are not permitted as per our user review guidelines. https://help.imdb.com/article/contribution/contribution-information/user-review-guidelines/GABTWSNLDNFLPRRH?ref_=helpsrall# You can edit and re-submit your review in accordance with the guidelines for reviewing. Thanks!

Thank you, Maya. In this instance, the review had definitely been published, I am sure of it. Second, I no longer have access to that review, so how can I edit it? It would have been nice to have been given the opportunity to edit the review before the decision was made by IMDb to remove it. Does someone still have access to the original review? If not, I will write a new one.

@Tatami53- You're welcome! Notifying contributors of a reported and removed submission is currently not a feature we support, you are welcome to make an Idea post here in the IMDb for other community members to follow and vote/comment on it.

Thank you; I will do so. In this case, the review was published, I am certain of it. But afterwards it was taken down and I've only just realized this years later.
