Remove SELF credit to put it in ACTRESS credit

I have played in the film Matriarchy https://pro.imdb.com/title/tt3227216/?ref_=nm_filmo_self_1  where I appear normally in the credits of the film.

But for some reason the film appears in my credits under the category SELF instead of the category ACTRESS. I have tried many times (for 3 years now!) to correct it but nothing works. Could someone help me to understand how to proceed?

It's because the film has the documentary genre. Is this a correct genre? I see there are other sites that call it fiction.

Katia: Following up to what Peter wrote, which I agree with, I have a few comments:

If this film is mostly a documentary but also includes some people playing dramatized roles such as yourself, then please submit the keyword reenactment to the film's Keywords page (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt3227216/keywords/). The category to be used for that keyword is "Other".

The keyword reenactment is a specialized keyword by which a person playing a dramatized role in a documentary can have their role listed as an Actor or Actress role rather than a Self role. (That could apply to you, since you are listed as playing a character, "Katie", rather than identified as playing a Self role.) Note that it doesn't matter whether you were or weren't "reenacting" any events that actually took place.

If the film is not a documentary at all, then please submit a deletion of Documentary from the Genres for the film.

@gromit82 and @Peter_pbn

Thank you. The film is a fiction that is made "as if" it was a documentary. Should I ask to change the genre? How can I do that?

Hi @katialeclercow,

Please refer to our Help guide's How-to section to submit a genre correction. You may need to provide sufficient evidence to support the correction.

Cheers!
