This is not an issue, anyone can make a submission to the IMDb title page. Please refer to the Help article mentioned above, this will walk you through how to resolve this. The supporting documents can be added to your submission, instructions on how to do this can be found in the Help article.

That is correct! We are a contributor based page, you can submit the corrections in the Title page using the online Update Form.  Please refer to the Help article for instructions.
