Request for a review of submission #260402-161420-785000

Please note that my submissions were made under a different username (account created 2005) and that I've now changed my username here (originally created 2018) to be the same.

The first submission for #260402-161420-785000 was declined so I resubmitted it with additional evidence, but it was declined again.

In the second submission, I included a PDF file containing links to various sources on the internet, including IMDb.

I believe I've provided more than enough reliable information to facilitate verification of the change I've proposed, which includes additional information about other discrepancies on IMDb related to my initial proposed change.

I can't help wondering if the IMDb review process is being conducted by AI. If this is the case, a review by a human would be appreciated.

Below is a copy of the content in the PDF file I submitted (minus the reference to Half a World Away, which I've since learned is not related to Across a Crowded Room).

Just doing simple Google searches provides verification that the change I proposed is correct, including the Shutterstock image accompanying the Across a Crowded Room IMDb entry, which is definitely of Glynis Johns and Peter Sallis. The caption for this image correctly states Glynis Johns, not Glynis Jones. I, and I'm sure many others, recognised/would recognise Glynis Johns immediately. She had a very long career.

There are several people on IMDb named Glynis Jones but Across a Crowded Room is only relevant to Glynis Jones (I) on whose entry is a link to A Play for Love (1978), a TV series with only one episode, Across a Crowded Room (1978) under the Episode guide. A Play for Love is also mentioned in her summary section and in the Known for section. The entry for Glynis Jones under A Play for Love states her character as “Null”.

Most of Glynis Jones (I)’s listed credits are under the Production Department heading.

Under her Actress section, there are three listings, one for Across a Crowded Room, A Play for Today (referring to Across a Crowded Room) and the Australian TV series, The Great Air Race, which includes in the cast list Glynis Ann Jones playing Countess Drogheda and Glynis Jones, also playing Countess Drogheda, clearly a discrepancy. There is no link to the episode in which Glynis Jones appeared but there is for Glynis Ann Jones.

Based on Glynis Ann Jones' short list of credits on IMDb, all of her performances have only been in Australian TV shows [edit: I'm Australian], including The Great Air Race, making her appearance in the cast list more likely to be correct rather than Glynis Jones.

Both the A Play for Love and Across a Crowded Room entries need to be corrected to remove any confusion.

The BFI entry for Across a Crowded Room correctly includes Glynis Johns in the cast list (under the view full cast link).

I found several sources that point to the confusion with the two names, where Glynis Jones has been used instead of the correct Glynis Johns:

The Wikipedia - Across a Crowded Room entry includes both Glynis Jones and Glynis Johns.

On the Mabumbe page for Across a Crowded Room, Glynis Jones is incorrectly included in the cast list.

On the Grokipedia page for Across a Crowded Room, Glynis Jones and Glynis Johns are included.
