Script consultant

Hi. I’m finding contradictory information about which section a “Script consultant” credit should be in. I have been given this credit on a film on which I did two uncredited script passes, including writing entire scenes and quite a lot of dialogue. I had absolutely nothing to do with on set continuity, and don’t think the credit really belongs in the script and continuity section. I agreed to work without a writing credit as the producer had original employed an elder statesman screenwriter at the end of his career and didn’t want to embarrass him by diluting his credit, so I can’t easily go to the writing section. I’m happy in Additional Crew. Isn’t that where I should be?

Hi MPSurface- Thank you for posting! However, script consultant credits belong in the Script & Continuity section and this is where they should be submitted. Further detailed information can be found on our following Help Guide: https://help.imdb.com/article/contribution/filmography-credits/writers/GPLAT3NTCGA67A6R?ref_=helpsrall# Cheers!

OK, but they aren’t equivalent jobs and don’t belong with continuity. But I’d rather get the credit up and not argue about it!
