Seemingly redundant "uncredited" writing credits on King Kong

The 1933 film King Kong includes this writing credit: "From an idea conceived by Merian C. Cooper and Edgar Wallace". This is accurately reflected on IMDb. IMDb also includes credits for both of these writers as "story (uncredited)". The "story" credits seem redundant to me as that is clearly what the "from an idea conceived by" credit is meant to indicate, just with different wording. Tried to delete the redundant credits; was sadly rejected.
