Slowness of the system when entering data.

I do a lot of large productions involving several hundred people on a film or TV show title, and I've found that the more people there are in the credits (if you add a name), the longer it takes the system to 1: access the page by clicking on the “modify” option, and 2: enter the name. The “Loading, please wait” message can take up to 20 seconds before acceptance every time, which is a very long time when you enter at least 30,000 data entries per year. The wait is interminable, and very discouraging. And that's on any computer I've tried, so it's really the IMDB system and not related to the computer's functionality. Is it possible to fix this situation? Because it would be a great help in encouraging us to put more data on the site, because sometimes this detail is so discouraging that we give up because of it. Let's just say you have to be VERY patient. Thanks

Thanks for the feedback. I personally add a large volume of information across each year too. The best way to update a title is on a per department basis vs, entering everything for the title all at once. This keeps the size of each update down and therefore improves the speed. It is also safer in case of any issues with your browser or your connection. Hope this helps.

Thanks for replying, it's much appreciated. I understand your message (and far be it from me to want to absolutely find faults just to find faults), but unfortunately, the information of people to add sometimes comes from day to day (Example: I take care of a title, and there are up to sometimes 10 names per day), and I put them as I go along to be as up-to-date as possible, knowing that IMDB is a VERY important reference, and I have the same problem coming back. Good week to the IMDB team :)
