TikTok Creator adding misleading credits on films
I recently came across an individual on TikTok who appears to be listing credits on IMDb for work they did not contribute to from a production standpoint. While it is possible they were involved in the creation of motion graphics for marketing materials, such as TV spots or trailers, these contributions do not align with IMDb's crediting guidelines.
According to IMDb’s policy:
"Certain types of credits that we do not list unless they are specifically credited on-screen: these include work on marketing elements of a title (work on key art, trailers, etc.), or on non-theatrical versions (e.g., DVD authoring, supplemental materials, captioning, etc.), or on localized releases (dubbing, dialogue translation/editing on foreign versions, etc.). We do not list these credits unless the person has received an on-screen credit for their work in the original version of the title."
The account in question is: IMDb Profile
As someone who works in the film industry, I find this situation deeply disrespectful to professionals who genuinely contribute to film production. This individual’s actions on social media imply that they worked on major Hollywood productions, when in reality, their role was limited to creating content for marketing purposes, such as TV spots for domestic audiences.
I would appreciate guidance on how to address this issue and remove any inaccurate or improperly credited entries from IMDb.

Hi @nawaz1983,
Thank you for your problem report.
I have filed a ticket (ref. #D195796843) with the relevant team to review these credits. If and once any action is taken, I will provide an update to this thread.
I hope this helps!
