Title Corrections Approved But Not Changed

I hope all is well. I'm starting a new thread to seek help with title corrections that have been approved but not yet changed. Maya and Fran recently helped me with this and were rockstars! The new first title correction submission number is #251202-004206-476000; it shows that it was approved and then declined. I believe it was rejected because I wasn’t matching the information to the original title correctly, even though I kept following the suggestions. The second  #251129-193138-898000 was approved a few days ago, but it hasn’t been updated yet. If someone could help me out with this, it would be greatly appreciated. Best, Chris

Hi christopher_eadicicco-

Thank you for posting the submission references! Further reviewing, both of these corrections have been fixed. The changes are already live.

One question, for this submission#251202-004206-476000, is this title a TV series or TV Movie?

Cheers!

Hi Maya, Thanks so much for helping me out with this. The submission #251202-004206-476000 is a TV series. Two additional episodes have been completed, but haven't been added to IMDB yet. It's a mini-series. Hope that helps clear it up :)

Best,

Chris

Hi Maya, I hope all is well. Could you assist me with adding a credit that has been declined? It's an older producing credit from a mini-series my company produced with another company. Unfortunately, the only evidence I was able to provide was an image from the public Vimeo links. The film does not have end credits except for "thanks" to supporters of the project. The credits are listed in the videos' descriptions. Here is the link to the contribution - 251204-194405-202000Here is a link to what is available to the public - https://vimeo.com/alightfilms/wafaahttps://vimeo.com/alightfilms/eman Is there anything that can be done? Best, Christopher

Hi Fran, I hope all is well. I'm just reaching out to ask about four credits that were recently added to the database. I know that IMDB has a policy about deleting titles; however, I wanted to know if there is potential for an exception in this case. The credits in question are commercial credits, and the client has reached out to me personally to inquire about them being taken down. The reasoning is that the client never officially aired the work because A/B testing didn't go as planned. The spots were pulled. The series is:Betterhelp: Friendly Advice (2021) (V)Betterhelp: You Should Take up Golf (2021) (V)Betterhelp: Just Smile More (2021) (V) The last title is:J.P. Morgan: Trade and Working Capital (2022) (V)This message came by way of: despite it being available on JPM's website, they do not want the work shared externally in any format. Their preference is to keep their vendor's unlisted. If this is possible, I'd greatly appreciate it, as I'd love to keep these folks on my client list as I still work with them from time to time. Best, Christopher

@christopher_eadicicco- In order to remove a title(s) from IMDb, you will have to submit a request for title deletions. You are welcome to do so through our online Update form.

For more detailed information on how to delete title pages on IMDb and our policy guidelines eligibility, I encourage to review the following Help Guide.

*Important* things to know is that if this specific title(s) does not have a "Title deletion" option on the 'Edit page', the request will have to be submitted through this specific Contact form instead, for our editors to review further.

As our aim is to be the most complete and reliable source of movie, TV, and entertainment information on the web and in order to continue offering our users an accurate and trustworthy service, it is our policy not to alter or delete any kind of correct/factual information from our records. If, in this case, the title is deemed eligible, it will not be removed.

Thanks, Maya. I appreciate your response and the help with this. I'll get to work on those titles and come back here if I have any issues. Can I reference this conversation when filling out the forms?

Sounds good! Thank you, Maya. I've shared as much information as possible and referenced our conversation. I ended up using the contact form as the titles did not have a removal button on the edit page. I hope this works out for you.

@Maya, I hope all is well. I sent the email regarding the title deletion yesterday afternoon and received a response this morning. It was pretty straightforward, but ultimately not helpful. I understand IMDB's policy regarding any removal in full; however, I know it has been done before, and I would like to know if there is anything that can be done in this circumstance? There was a miscommunication regarding the credits and work being public-facing in general from both parties, which I've taken full responsibility for this mishap. It would be invaluable if the team at IMDB could assist and make an exception for me this time. I've made the mistake, and I'm attempting to clean up the mess. Please let me know what can be done. Thank you.

Hello christopher_eadicicco

@Fran Hi Fran, thanks for getting back to me on this. I understand that IMDb is trying to be a comprehensive and reliable source of entertainment information; however, is there nothing that can be done? I think the title information should not have been added in the first place, which, as mentioned, was a miscommunication among all parties and a mistake I'm trying to clear up. Having it appear in a public format could sour my relationship with each of them. I wouldn't ask IMDb if I didn't feel the situation was serious. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'll send a gift basket to IMDB immediately afterward.

@Maya Hi Maya, thanks for responding. If IMDB refuses to remove the title, is there anything else that can be done? For example, can individual credits be removed?

@christopher_eadicicco- You're welcome!

Our policy is for all information on the site not just for titles just as mentioned above.

@Maya, is there a reason why IMDB isn't more lenient with its policy? I'm aware of past titles and credits that IMDB has removed for colleagues, including myself. Can you explain past fixes versus this particular ask? What is the point of having a title deletion request section if IMDB doesn't or won't remove titles?

Hi Maya, I couldn't respond to the previous message because the conversation was closed. I understand that the title information I asked about cannot be removed because of IMDB policy. I'm okay with that. I made the mistake, and I will work with it (and the client). I appreciate you sharing the guidelines link with me and would like to ask a question about correcting credits for three titles where I served as Creative Director, not Director. I was unaware that the CD credits are available on IMDB. The ask is for three commercial projects listed on my IMDB pro account. I can look for call sheets or email information showing my role as Creative Director on the projects. The projects are as follows.J.P. Morgan: Trade and Working Capital (2022) (V)Nate: Magic in Your Hands (2022) (V)Kimurawear: I am an Athlete (2017) (V)I've inserted an image from the original pitch deck for the J.P. Morgan project, while I gather information for the others. I can submit the whole deck and budget I've recovered from this project while I gather what I can from the others.  Please let me know what is possible.  Best,  Christopher    Note: This comment was created from a merged conversation Link : https://community-imdb.sprinklr.com/conversations/data-issues-policy-discussions/credit-corrections/693dbc6ed1d7fd7bbba24dbf Title : Credit Corrections
