Top of the Lake season 1: episode count

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt2103085/episodes/ It says: "Originally shot and screened in countries such as Australia and the UK as 6 episodes. In the US, the Sundance Channel airing was re-edited into 7 shorter parts." Right now, there are seven episodes listed on imdb for season one of this show. But it states the runtime for episode 1 for example at 59 minutes, which I think would be the duration for the longer Australia/UK episodes and the Sundance one would be around 50 minutes per episode then? So I guess it should be shorter durations or, instead, just six episodes listed with longer durations. I am not sure what the right approach is here. The original screening should be taken into account on what to choose? Anybody have insight here?

Hi Horst- We want to display the information associated with the original release. Therefore, if the original release was 6 episodes, it should be listed with this, including the run-time for those original airings as well. Hope this helps! Cheers!

Greetings Maya, if we trust Wikipedia with this: "Top of the Lake was screened in its entirety at the January 2013 Sundance Film Festival, in a single seven-hour session with one intermission and a break for lunch. This was the first such screening in the history of the festival.[23] Top of the Lake was additionally shown at the 63rd Berlin International Film Festival. The US premiere was on the Sundance Channel on 18 March 2013,[24] in Australia on BBC UKTV on 24 March 2013,[25] and in New Zealand on 25 March, also on BBC UKTV.[26] " The UK date is not stated there, but https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p059kqyv says it was July 2013. So I guess the very first was the Sundance premiere, but I guess this should not be listed as a really long movie, should it? What followed next were then the 7 episodes in America roughly one week before Australia and New Zealand? So only the running times need to be corrected and the episode count stays at 7? (Season 2 btw. premiered in its entirety at the Cannes Film Festival.) What about the episode titles then? Should it just be numbers 1.1 etc.? The seven-episode format from Sundance did not have individual episode titles it seems, only the BBC version with six episodes had titles Paradise Sold etc.

@Horst- Greetings! Correct, this should not be listed as a long movie and yes, what needs to be corrected are the running times which you are welcome to submit the corrections for them. As per the episode count, yes, these will stay at 7 as well. For the episode titles too, these were added incorrectly. So we have made the corrections for them to have only the numbers. Hope this helps!

Can you check that please? This is so frustrating honestly. I tried to help/fix stuff and it resulted in some computer-generated restriction or whatever making it even more difficult for me now to submit stuff of any kind. You should fix your system or add people with really many submissions automatically a list where the stuff they are submitting is accepted anyway without your flawed mechanisms boycotting them.
