Trouble making corrections to incorrect credits

I'm trying to help a colleague who is currently updating/groundskeeping their professional profile as a vfx artist, at some point this artist has had some of their credits incorrectly entered under the wrong department categories, these credits have since been correctly added to the correct department category (the Visual Effects department), however the original incorrect credits still exist in the wrong department categories and no matter which way we try to approach telling imdb to remove them (they're duplicates and they're in the wrong department) these requests are seemingly rejected moments after being lodged. Can someone tell us what we're doing wrong? Naturally it just says the same thing every time: 'failed to verify, please try harder to verify this cos we couldn't verify this' etc. but we've been submitting these removal request with literal screenshots of the profile showing the credit appearing twice in two different department categories and a big red arrow pointing them both out, and well, short of literally drawing imdb a picture, we can't possibly verify it any more than that 😅
