Trying to Make a Simple Correction
Earlier today I posted a correction [#260622-215836-207000] to the credits for the 1976 film "Redneck Miller" citing the fact that the person listed in the role of "Rachel" was not Paulette Gibson. My explanation was quite simple: The character of "Rachel" is white whereas Paulette Gibson is black. I further included the fact that Paulette Gibson played the part of the only notable black female named "Pearl" in that film and that she also played in the 1981 blaxploitation film "Getting Over". I figured the words "blaxploitation" might give the analyst a hint as to her possible racial identity. Additionally, I also mentioned that the person who played "Rachel" was a white actress named Angel Sande who also played the part of the waitress named "Millie" in the 1976 horror film, "Squirm." In short, Paulette Gibson is black and she played the role of a black woman named "Pearl" whereas Angel Sande is white and she played the part of a white woman named "Rachel." Not that complicated, really, and if a person did a little research, they could google Paulette Gibson and discover that she was also part of an all-black female band known as "The Love Machine" back in the 70s. Unfortunately, my words apparently weren't convincing enough because my correction was "declined". Begging the question: What does it take to correct something so basic?

They usually need to know that you are not changing something that is stated in the credits. It looks like the character names are not displayed on screen, but you could still include a screenshot of those credits, or a link.
