Trying to revise episode dates

I've been cleaning up the episodes from recent years of a weekday talk show (which airs live), and occasionally run into listed episodes that don't exist because someone carelessly submitted episodes for weekends, or on holidays or other occasions when it was pre-empted by breaking news coverage. After deleting data which no longer applies (e.g. co-hosts who are no longer with the show), I've generally had no problem in simply revising the episode date to an upcoming date, as the series is ongoing; it's much simpler than trying to get the episode deleted when five new episodes get added every week anyway. But as I've been working backward (now on 2019), I'm often getting repeated rejections (sometimes because they get delayed several days until a new episode already appears for the revised date). Could the staff PLEASE see that these get through?
