Solved

Unable to delete an incorrect credit

Somehow my name was associated as Producer of three titles I have nothing to do with and it's the #1 search result in google for my name. It's damaging because it is adult content. I've tried to get them removed but it's declined for lack of "proof". I have no idea how I could prove it's not me and more so I'm really curious what proof whoever added it provided that it was accurate in the first place.

Hi samski1977- In order for our staff to review, can you post the 18-digit submission reference number for this declined contribution? Cheers!

But it's not trustworthy if it has misinformation about me which is the case. So how can we resolve this without legal intervention?

@samski1977- If the Producer credits don't belong to you it's likely that they belong to a different person with the same name, therefore, instead of deleting the credits you will need to split them. You will have to move these incorrect credits to a new/separate page listing for "Sam Rakowski (II)." Further detailed information and instructions can be found on our following Help Guide: https://help.imdb.com/article/contribution/filmography-credits/how-can-i-move-credits-to-another-page/GYZQEK7ACM9KCUNA?ref_=helpsrall#

They do not belong to a different person. I am the Sam Rakowski mentioned. The "Titles" mentioned are related to the company I run, but listing me as producer is inaccurate and causing me personal damage. We have submitted the same request through our company IMDB Pro account and were similarly denied. This needs to be fixed and your help guide is not helpful.

@samski1977- Thank you for the additional information and context. Concerning the three producer credits, if you did not perform the role of "Co-executive producer" on these titles and your name was not credited on-screen for the films, you will need to provide evidence for verification. In order to provide further supporting evidence, you can add it by checking on the 'Provide an explanation' and linking it on the text box. https://help.imdb.com/article/contribution/contribution-information/how-can-i-submit-additional-verification-for-a-credit-submission/GN93ME9NVXHVE36E?ref_=helpms_helpart_inline# We will need to see screen grabs of the full on-screen credits or a link to where the film is available online and can be viewed.

They are not films at all. They are compilations which shouldn't even be listed on the IMDB and I'm not sure why they are or who added them. Again, where is the proof required for accuracy of the initial addition? Why is it on me to prove something is incorrect. I want to see the proof that this is accurate by the original account that added it.

Hi samski1977 - It sounds like the root issue here is that you are reporting that these titles are ineligible to be listed as per our Title Eligibility guidelines: https://help.imdb.com/article/contribution/titles/title-eligibility/G9V8J6AXTQ292S5W?ref_=helpsrall# You mentioned that these titles are compilations, can you clarify further? For example, are these videos just collection of scenes from other released films with no original content?

That is exactly correct. They are compilations of nude scenes from existing films and tv shows. They are not original productions and shouldn't be listed at all. Again, where is the stringent proof requirements up front? I'm suffering from this erroneous information you have published on the IMDB but the burden is on me to somehow prove it's false after the fact. This is backwards and is causing me personal harm every day it remains live.

Just to clarify, these are not adult titles. They're simply comprised of sex scenes from R-rated films. SK Entertainment is the parent company of the Mr. Skin nude celebrity website. https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/mr-skin-parent-company-sued-010015734.html https://www.linkedin.com/in/samrakowski/ (female nudity) https://www.adultdvdempire.com/1940501/ladies-moaning-loudly-part-1-porn-videos.html https://www.adultdvdempire.com/1906073/hottest-zombie-movie-babes-the-porn-videos.html https://www.adultdvdempire.com/1978802/mr-skins-favorite-horror-movie-nude-scenes-porn-videos.html According to your rules, these are valid titles. The guide states: "For compilation/retrospectives only: If the title is a compilation/retrospective made up entirely or almost entirely of archive footage, then the people appearing in that footage qualify for archive footage credits." https://help.imdb.com/article/contribution/filmography-credits/cast-acting-credits-guidelines/GH3JZC74FVYKKFMD#archive The videos only credit the actresses, so they don't list any crew credits. They simply list "A Mr. Skin Production." In other words, the name Sam Rakowski doesn't appear, so the credits either need to be marked uncredited or deleted. https://imgur.com/a/lqH8ed7 https://i.imgur.com/3ojj8De.png

Hi samski1977 - Just to reconfirm, as ind3 mentioned above, the title listing themselves are eligible and will remain on the site. I have now gone ahead and removed the producer credits, the changes should be live on the site shortly. Cheers!
