Unable To Merge Duplicate Titles
Hello,
I am trying to merge two listings for the same film but am unable to do so as they have identical titles and give me an error when I check the correction.
This entry is the correct entry: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt32334046/
This entry has incorrect cast and crew listed: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt30786688/
One is listed as a 'movie' and one is a 'tv movie' but I'm unable to specify that when submitting the change request.

In this case you need to type Tipline Mysteries: Dial 1 for Murder (2024) in the text box for the title correction, acknowledge the warnings and submit. Visit our help guides for more.

Hi @tp_assist -
I can see that the title text formatting you used previously was incorrect. Since the correct title listing is a TV Movie, you will need to use the following title text format, Title (year) (TV):
Tipline Mysteries: Dial 1 for Murder (2024) (TV)
Two Warnings will display in the form:
- There is a mismatch between the title type of the old and new titles.
- The new title already exists in IMDb.
Check-mark both Warnings and click on the "Re-check these Updates" button, the background will then display green and allow you to submit the title merge request.
