Update denied

Question

I deleted the first poster for a film because the title wasn't fully shown. I updated the photo but got denied as a 'potential duplicate' because I identified the first photo as a poster. I wasn't at all aware of there being guidelines until I learned about how things work here. I am a newbie, after all.
