Solved

User-hostile update interface

Is anyone else struggling with the new interface for updates? 1. The red, yellow and green coding made it simple to find any errors/duplicates. Now I have to read each entry to glean which one needs to be tweaked/removed. 2. Each entry now contains an error message, even when there is no error with the entry. 3. The stretched screen takes much more time to enter many items on a title. 4. When entering a new title, required items have options at non-intuitive locations, above or below the options, rather than next to the options like we used to have. Each of these adds complexity, time and frustration for those of us who add significant updates each month. I certainly hope this is not the final product, and the above glitches can be improved to make our volunteer work more enjoyable and simple.

I have a screen shot of the interface showing some of these issues, but can't see how to post it as an example/

These message boards lost some of their functionality recently, but the IMDb staff have been trying to bring it back. So far, we have gotten one function back (paragraphing). So maybe the ability to post pictures will be brought back within a reasonable amount of time. You may want to wait until we get the ability to post pictures again and then post your example here.

I'm not aware of a new interface.

It sounds like you are referring to the inline editor on IMDbPro? If so, simply choose the "Classic Editor" link under the "Advanced" section at the bottom of the inline edit page. If not please upload screengrabs to any image sharing site and include links here, and/or describe the steps you are using to trigger these issues via a detailed description of an example edit.

Well, this morning I have the usual interface when I edit. It is the same IMDB I have been using, not IMDB Pro, to my knowledge. I will add my screen shot as soon as I can add one here.
