Solved

Why are people allowed to run roughshod over certain categories

For example: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0105415/goofs/?tab=gf&ref_=tt_dyk_gf Errors in geography. And water is wet. These "errors in geography" in movies are as common as fruit flies. There is hardly a movie that doesn't contain "errors in geography". For whatever reason the director or editor or whoever is in charge of such things decides to not be geographically correct. It happens all the time. It is not a "goof". Debbie doesn't tell the "Expect The Best" clerk her name before he calls her "Debbie". This is not a plot hole. A plot hole is an inconsistency or contradiction in a story that creates a gap in the narrative, causing it to not make sense or break the established rules of the story world. It's a goof, but it is not a plot hole. This is just one example. There are so many examples of people claiming that something is a "crazy credit" when it really isn't crazy. Perhaps crazy is the wrong word; maybe it should be amusing or interesting. Crazy means mentally deranged, especially as manifested in a wild or aggressive way (insane, demented, deranged); not mentally sound : marked by thought or action that lacks reason; impractical; distracted with desire or excitement; extremely enthusiastic (i.e., crazy about whatever). People simply do not care what makes sense and what doesn't and this is why the USA is in decline.

Regarding Crazy Credits, IMDb's own description says: "Crazy Credits are unusual things shown during a production's credits: They may include pre-credit title card quotes, epigraphs, additional scenes, or funny messages hidden in the credits themselves." So the entries don't need to be literally crazy. https://help.imdb.com/article/contribution/titles/crazy-credits/GHJCTK5CDW8X3FWY?ref_=helpms_helpart_inline
