Solved

Why do I have to wait until a series is shown in the USA before I can rate or review it?

"Chloe Ayling: My Unbelievable Kidnapping" was on BBC3 in the UK last week. I watched the whole thing and would like to rate and maybe even review it. But the IMDb page says it's in "post-production". No it isn't - it's complete and it's been aired in the UK. The date on IMDb says August 28 (United States). So what? I've seen it and I want to rate it. This is ridiculous. Is IMDb yet another puppet of the United States corporations?

It's because nobody has entered the date it premiered in the UK (4th August, 2025). At the moment, its earliest release date is the American release date, which is towards the end of August. I've just added the UK release date. Once it appears, you should be able to vote. In the UK it was shown in 3 parts, so it should be listed as a series.

Thanks. That makes perfect sense. I'm surprised no-one wih the authority to enter a UK broadcast date had done so already. Sorry my initial post looks a bit anti-USA and angry. I've had an IMDb account for 25 years and I'm getting old and grouchy. 🙂
