Why does my self-explanatory spelling and grammar submission keep being rejected as "Does Not Meeting Submission Guidelines"?
Hi, I have a question.
I have sent a spelling and grammar submission for the Plot Outline for the movie 'Wolf' (tt27722575) a number of times now, but it keeps getting rejected. I am simply correcting "moon sprite" to "moon spirit". The movie has nothing to do with The Coca-Cola Company soft drink 'Sprite', but with moon spirits. This is a fact easily verified by watching the movie trailer and listening to the words, or by verifying against plot outlines in other languages; such as in German: "Mondgeist" ( = moon spirit), or Italian "fata" ( = fairy / spirit). It is also verified by simple common sense, which IMDb reviewers increasingly seem to be lacking.
I say this as a longtime Contributor. Some years back, I had direct contact with IMDb staff where we exchanged Excel documents to improve quality of the Danish tv and series titles on IMDb, and it was a great experience with 1000s of corrections done over Excel and outside the normal Contribution Zone. But it has become simple stuff like this that waned my interest in contributing to IMDb. Why do I need to even write a forum post for something as self-explanatory as this, and why is there no "Appeal" button where I can get an actual explanation why a submission gets rejected for no reason?
