Solved

Why the hell is IMDB SUDDENLY taking DAYS to approve reviews when it always used to take MINUTES?

Basically that... I've been posting reviews here for 15 or more years and they ALWAYS get approved in minutes, maybe an hour at most. Now, they are taking bloody DAYS! WTF!?? Why is this suddenly the case? What could possibly have changed so dang much that approval went from minutes to days? That makes NO bloody sense at all... Any ideas as to why this SUDDEN change would be most welcome, thank you!

Hello Latheofheaven, Usually depending on the data type, approved contributions should appear on IMDb within 1 - 7 days. If your submission is still pending, it might be processed soon. You can take a look at our Help Articles for more information: https://help.imdb.com/article/contribution/contribution-information/when-will-my-update-be-added/GEKS9SBHDEHBAVC7?ref_=helpsrall#

Uh huh... And, could that response be ANY more generic...? Real BIG help there Fran... Seriously, don't you think I already KNOW the 'ROTE' answer? I am asking WHY has it suddenly changed when I've been posting reviews for years? Sorry if I sound rude or a bit annoyed, but this response tells me NOTHING...

And, NO... this is NOT 'Solved' GEEZ, why even bother if you are going to give some empty answer like that and then mark it 'Solved' Seriously...

It is not showing here for some reason, but Lillian826Pena actually did give me a somewhat helpful explanation. In the notification e'mail it said this: IMDb's review approval process has slowed down, possibly due to increased moderation, higher review volume, or algorithm changes. Some reviews may now require manual verification, causing delays of several days instead of minutes. IMDb hasn’t officially explained the slowdown, but checking their forums or contacting support might help. THANK YOU Lillian for at least making SOME effort in explaining this to me and that now I know the process is recognized as actually having slowed down for some reason and that at the moment there is no explantion. THAT is helpful, thank you! Take note Fran and please may I humbly suggest that before you toss out some useless answer in your sleep, ponder first on how helpful it truly is...
