2000-2006 Sci-fi film or Television series (Bright White spinning sphere)

What i remember, "There is a locked room in which theres a door and a window looking inside. Through the window you can see a bright white spinning ball / sphere. In an episode a women enters the room under stress and something happens to her." I've been having a dilema for years. There was this super weird film or show I watched as a kid. I remember it facinating me and I ran wild with my imagination because of it. I've listed above exactly what I remember! Hopefully im not crazy and this show/film actually exists.
