I take exception to the 3 items declined in the subject reference. One (Taggart's gun catching on a chair) changed a "Miscellaneous" goof (which some submitters use way too often) on the basis of Goof Guideline C for Miscellaneous: "This category is hardly ever used - if you can't shoehorn your goof into any of the above categories it's probably not a goof." Also, the basis for changing to "Incorrectly regarded as goof" is from the 3rd bullet of Goof Guideline B: "Intentional goofs: Please don't submit "mistakes" that were clearly intended by the filmmakers, forhumorous purposes or otherwise." This obviously was done to be humorous.

The other declined items were both submitted as "Factual Mistakes". The one regarding Bart having a Sheriff's badge before he gets to Rock might be true, but in the context of the film, it makes sense the governor would provide the badge.

The second item declined is another instance of a submitter entering a completely new item to correct a previous item. In these cases, the newer item is marked for deletion (“This item addresses an earlier submitted item; it has been incorporated into the original item.” which IMDb accepted) and the text from that item is added in the original item; when IMDb declines the change to the original item, the new information from the item IMDb deleted is lost. [If it were my correction, I would have noted that it is an Unacceptable Goof as it's clearly intended to be humorous; however, it was another submitter's correction that I simply formatted to IMDb Guidelines.]
