80's or 90's movie with a boy and a creature that explodes a smoothie all over the kitchen

​​Trying to find a kids movie from the 80's or 90's (possibly a made for TV) with a fuzzy creature who burrows in the ground. He makes a smoothie or milkshake that is green I think, and it explodes all over the little boy's kitchen. It wasn't animated. The boy was around 10 years old. The furry guy had four legs and I believe he walks on all fours. I don't think he speaks, just makes noises. I NEED to find this movie!​​
