Can't remember film, vague recall

There's a film somewhere in the annals of my brain that I can't for the life of me remember much of, but what I do, is a little girl was murdered by a serial killer and she ends up taking a man around (who can obviously see her ghost) and telling him how it happened and they stop at her funeral and we see her parents and her mum is crying and she says to the man she's telling her story to something like "I don't like being here, can we go now" or "I don't like seeing mummy cry" or something to that effect.. I remember when she's recounting her screaming and the guy who kills her screaming too.. (he may have had very fair hair).. I don't think I've made it up, would love any help available if it sounds familiar to anybody ? Its not the lovely bones if it helps.. I remember seeing this somewhere in the early 2000s on TV so I'm sure it predates mid 2000s.. thanks !
