Children's show with monster in a dark room

I would like to know the name of a children's show I saw in the 60's and 70's. I can't remember its name. As part of this show, a child had to run into a dark room and retrieve a prize. There was someone dressed as a monster in the room. If the child was brave enough, he or she could snatch the prize and emerge from the room and would win the prize. Anyone remember this show?
