Does anybody know who this Elizabeth Armstrong is?

Elizabeth Armstrong - IMDb (1901-1981)

There was a makeup artist working in the UK between 1964 and at least 1994.  Her credits were spread over several people, so I combined them all into Elizabeth Armstrong (III).
One of the people was the above, but it seems unlikely that an American came to Britain and began a career as a makeup artist at 63 and continued working as such into at least her 90s, after her death.
So anybody know who the April 9, 1901 in New York, USA-February 14, 1981 in Woodland Hills, Los Angeles, California, USA one actually was?  I have done a few searches but cannot find anybody of that name who lived and died in those dates and places.  Would be good to be able to give her her credits if she actually did work in movies or TV.
