Does this movie (scene) description shine a light to anyone of your team?

In the 1990s, I saw a film from which I remember two scenes. A young father with shaved hair is walking down the street with his toddler in a stroller. He is surrounded by several aggressive men and fights back. I believe the hood of a light blue car comes in the picture. He wins the fight by knocking the men unconscious with the stroller. The toddler is unharmed. Later, the mother is angry, finding the father irresponsible. The same father is lying in bed next to the mother in the evening. The nightlight on the bedside table is the only light in the room. The mother asks him to turn off the light, whereupon the man, lying in bed, smashes the lamp with his fist. The woman laughs loudly.
