Forgotten Film Title

Near the start the main character goes out to buy something but while he is out the office is attacked and everyone except him shot dead. I cannot remember where it goes from there - foggy memory! It's probably from the 1970s or '80s Thanks - R.

@Col_Needham That Condor moment! - Thank you so much for solving the mystery... I would not have remembered the film's title unaided. I last saw it on UK TV (probably ITV) and it had been censored to the point it was not worth watching - that office shoot-up sequence in particular had been butchered... I don't think it was early viewing either, Thanks again - R.
