Help Me Find a Flick?

I saw a movie on USA cable in the late 80s involving a couple who were stranded at the desert shack of an old timer, and beset by a plague of some creatures or other.  When that got resolved at the end of the film, and before the couple could leave, they were attacked by a horde of tumbleweeds.  The old man hustled 'em back inside saying, "Ya gotta watch them tumbleweeds!" Any idea what that movie was?
