Help me to find this please

over 10 years with no luck. I watched it sometime around 2010 on an Arabic satellite TV channel called "Al Deera", but the movie looked older — maybe from the 80s or 90s — and had poor video quality. Here’s everything I remember: It was in English and set in the South American jungle. The main character is a white muscular soldier, resembling Reb Brown from Strike Commando. He rescues a young, skinny Black man who was being held hostage. To distract the enemy, the soldier cuts himself, puts his bloody M16 rifle on a thread, and lets ants crawl on the blood. The ants eventually trigger the rifle to shoot automatically, drawing the enemy away. The rescued hostage accidentally eats a fish that belonged to the tribal chief. The tribe forces the soldier to fight one of their warriors blindfolded. During the chaos, the hostage burns a marijuana plant, the tribe gets high, and they all start dancing and chanting “boom shakalaka shakalaka” repeatedly. At the end of the movie, when they reach safety, the hostage flips the soldier the middle finger instead of thanking him. The soldier laughs and flips it back. I’ve searched IMDb, Reddit, and YouTube — no luck. It may have been a low-budget, direct-to-TV or VHS movie. Any leads or guesses are hugely appreciated!
