Looking for the name of a movie I am looking for....

I am looking for a made for TV Movie based on true events.  I believe it was a two part movie.  It was set back in the 50s or 60s in a southern town.  A woman became involved and then married a man from either a prominent family or crime family who takes her on a train and then rapes her and beats her up.  He holds her captive at his house and slowly poisons her.  Her family and friends finally locate her but it is too late and she dies.  He is put on trial and I think he was convicted.  I would like to find out the name of this movie if it sounds familiar to anyone.  Thank you for your help!!
