Movie with a semi intense interrogation scene

I believe it's like a gangster crime thriller, can't recall the exact genre, but the woman is being interrogated for something and to get her to talk I think they bring either electrodes and/or car battery and I can't remember if they attach to her feet to shock or if her feet are in water and they're using that to shock her (still can't recall if it's a movie or a show but the whole thing is on the tip of my tongue I know this isn't the most specific description.)

How recent was it? I remember watching a black and white film where a brunette woman was in a small room being shocked, but I can't remember the title (a spy movie maybe?). Does that sound like the scene in question?

I remember one other film where a woman was tortured with electric shock: Cat's Eye from 1985. James Woods' wife is tortured because he smoked a cigarette. I still can't remember the black and white spy movie where the woman is in the booth being shocked (maybe one of the Dr. Mabuse movies?).

Sorry unfortunately it's neither of these. From my very foggy memory the scene was either feet in water electroshocks or electrodes attached to the feet. Sorry if it's so vague lol
