Name of an old movie (but technicolor) where a soldier or high-rank military guy plays the piano for some japanese or east asian villagers?

I think it took place during a war (probably ww2) and all of a sudden the soldier approaches a piano and starts playing for some Japanese or east Asian villagers who are amazed by his skills.  I think that one of the pieces that he played was Liszt's Hungarian Rhapsody#2 along with others. He had a smile on his face while playing. It appeared that he was really playing and when he finished, the villagers or locals burst into cheers and applauses.

I'm not sure if it was Cary Grant, but the actor who played the soldier playing the piano was handsome.

It was an old movie (before 1970s) but it was in color.

Does anyone know the name of this movie? Thanks very much.

"They Were Expendable"? Just a wild guess.

I think there was also a scene in "From Here to Eternity" in which Ernest Borgnine played the piano at a club in Honolulu.
