Name of this old thriller/film noir movie

I don’t remember much about this old American thriller/film noir movie, but I think it was in color and I remember 2 scenes: it was about a husband trying to make his wife go crazy by making her believe it would spook upstairs in their house:

there were curtains who had little bells or something on them to make a sound of walking/dancing people and then there was this smiling/laughing buddha porcelain figurine, which scared the wife and she put a scarf over it. I think, it was very much like the movie Gaslight with Ingrid Bergman, but a little more modern. However it was a movie older made before the 70s I guess. Can anyone name this movie please? I would love to watch that again.
