Need help finding a movie please

Can't remember much. It's not a traditional werewolf movie, but more like wolf spirit type thing the characters turn into. Here's what I remember, The girl running from a abusive guy that bite her and basically forced her to be his mate, gets taken in by this guy when he met her at a bar, she bites him, he starts to get wolf type powers. Bad guy comes after her, can't remember much in the middle. The guys female friend who is also secretly one of these wolf things, figures out what the woman did to him, take him to her cabin, explains what is happening to him, and shows him how it's supposed to be. Good girl kills bad girl in a fight in their wolf form or whatever, she badly hurt. The two guys fight in their wolf spirit form, good guy wins, and gives her the heart of the dead wolf, and she lives. Sounds crazy but it's all I can remember of it, but the scenes play in my head like I just watched it. Thought it was "Bitten" or something close, but all my searches came up as vampire movies. It's not vampires, but not traditional werewolf, they are like spirit wolf things.
