The mist tv series (2017)

I haven't seen the series, but The Mist wasn't a novel (not originally, anyway) but a short story from Skeleton Crew. When published, it was the first thing I'd read in a long time–maybe ever–that scared–to keep it PG–the bajeezus out of me. I said, then and there, it needed to be a movie. Sorry that I can't directly answer your question, but perhaps that'll give you an idea. Update: in verifying I had the right King collection, I found it had actually been published earlier in another collection called Dark Forces by another compiler. King then made it the first story in Skeleton Crew.
