Tomorrows World

Do you recall an English stately manor home that peaked the interest of TV's Tomorrows World team back in the day, because a ghost story about a father (presumably the Manor owner) taking his girl baby away from its mother and throwing it on the fire as it wasn't a boy baby as expected . Tomorrows World presenter James Burke stayed there overnight on the allotted one day (per year) with a film crew to try to catch the ghost of the Mother of the baby searching for her newborn, or anything else? Unsuccessfully as I recall. So where was this stately manor ? Any ideas ? Thanks in advance.

This sounds like a great show - wish I could have seen it. So after looking around I could not find much about the episodes. Could it have aired between 1965-71 as that was the timeframe James Burke was on the show? Also - did that show cover paranormal?

As you say, It must be between 65 and 71 for James Burke. This episode covered paranormal. I am not aware of others. More here.... https://www.bbc.co.uk/archive/tomorrows-world/zrkpwty

@graham_hazel Question since I am not a UK resident - would the Radio Times have shown episode listing for all Beeb programming? Asking because I found this gem > https://genome.ch.bbc.co.uk/issues

@graham_hazel - I think I found the house by sheer luck and a basic google search Littlecote House in Wiltshire https://occult-world.com/littlecote-house/
