Trying to find a Sri Lankian movie from 1976
At IMDb a movie called MANGALA is listed, and I would really, really like to watch it. I have been looking for it for many years, but had heard some rumors about film archives that burned down. Does anyone know if the listing of the film here means that there is a copy somewhere? Or have another idea where to try to find it?

KP: The fact that a film is listed in IMDb does not indicate that there is, or is not, a copy available anywhere. There are some films that are completely lost which are listed in IMDb.
On the other hand, the good news is that few theatrical movies from the 1970s are completely lost. By 1976, videocassette recorders were available for home use, which helped ensure that films would be preserved at least in some format.
Unfortunately, I don't have any useful information as to how you might go about looking for this movie.
