Trying to find movie...
Saw movie as a kid in the 90s and trying to find it again. The only things I remember are:
- near the end of the movie, the protagonist stops by a friends workplace, (a fast food joint iirc) and they argue over something or they're saying goodbyes
- the protagonists friend is beat up and bruised
- protagonists friend yells at protagonist as hes leaving
- protagonist has a motorcycle and hops with his girlfriend behind him
- it shows a wide shot of them driving off into the night and I remember there was a big bright moon in the sky
Now I may be imagining this part, but 'Everybody Wants to Rule the World' plays as they disappear in the distance and the credits roll.
I thought by looking up that one song that plays over end credits I would've been able to track it down, but no dice. Anyone know what film I'm talking about?
And no, it wasn't Real Genius lol.

It sounds like it might be "The Wraith" from 1986.
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0092240
For the full movie, you can see it on YouTube

So it is also not Peter's Friends or Romy and Michele's High School Reunion? Indeed, IMDb only has soundtrack data of three movies from before 2000 that have this song. If the movie's original release was on television or home playback, or even theatrical but only for a week or two, then it might have slipped past random contributors' radar. After all, there are a whole bunch of incomplete soundtrack listings for relatively well-remembered movies that even identified the songs/scores in the end credits sequences.
