Trying to find movie...

Saw movie as a kid in the 90s and trying to find it again. The only things I remember are: - near the end of the movie, the protagonist stops by a friends workplace, (a fast food joint iirc) and they argue over something or they're saying goodbyes - the protagonists friend is beat up and bruised - protagonists friend yells at protagonist as hes leaving - protagonist has a motorcycle and hops with his girlfriend behind him - it shows a wide shot of them driving off into the night and I remember there was a big bright moon in the sky Now I may be imagining this part, but 'Everybody Wants to Rule the World' plays as they disappear in the distance and the credits roll. I thought by looking up that one song that plays over end credits I would've been able to track it down, but no dice. Anyone know what film I'm talking about? And no, it wasn't Real Genius lol.
