Video made almost 20 years with footage from Eagle media who I helped make a short documentary with for the Discovery Channel
My name is Jacques Korolnyk, a Swiss living in Israel.
I saw the Youtube video "Papers, please".
With a team of volunteers, we are preparing a film for Holocaust
Memorial Day in April. The film we are producing tells the story of
a lady over 80 years old. Her family fled Zagreb. In a traumatic but
also miraculous odyssey, her parents, her 19-month-old brother and
herself almost reached the Swiss border when she was almost 2 years
old, but were discovered by German soldiers shouting: papers, please.
In her script, Frida describes the situation almost exactly as in your video.
The scenes came from:
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt2295359/?ref_=adv_li_tt
Is it possible to get your permission to use some sequences of your film or at least to copy some images from it.
Our production is meant as an educational film for Frida's family. Her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren live all over the world. We want them to know where they come from. This will help strengthen the family spirit... because Frida's origins are hers too.
Please get in touch with me as soon as possible. We are in the
production phase and need to know if you can comply with our request. Thank you.

> Unfortunately the video was made almost 20 years with footage from Eagle media, a company who I helped make a short documentary with for the Discovery Channel.
> I have no problem with you using the video or images from it, but I think that legally, officially, that's up to Eagle Media.
> Even though I don't think they'd mind and even though I don't think you even need permission for the purpose you want to use it, I'm not the one who gets to decide.
>
> I can't find any information about Eagle Media so I think the company no longer exists, so there is nobody I can direct you to to ask for permission.
>
> In short, I can't help you, sorry.
> Even though I don't think it will be a problem for you to use the material, it's not up to me.

I haven't received any answer and would need the video very urgently for my production. Thank you for letting me know.
