What is this movie? (2000s indie romantic comedy)

Desperately trying to find out the title of this movie!

Early/mid-2000s, low budget, no famous actors, indie. Guy and girl who are friends, both rather nerdy/quirky and unlucky in love, vow to change things. Guy undergoes nerdy-to-hot makeover (stops wearing glasses, starts wearing leather jacket) and is a hit with the ladies, which causes friction in their friendship, but in the end the friends revert to their true selves and get together (I think!). Was on Netflix, but I can now find no trace of it and no clues.
