I'm trying to identify the actress in this image (and ideally, the name of the movie). I initially thought it was Hedy Lamarr, but after viewing several of her films, I have my doubts.
It took me quite a while to realize that she's no other than Joan Bennett (first I thought she was Jennifer Jones but eyebrows didn't feel right). And even more embarrassing for me that this could be a scene from my all time favorite noir film, Scarlet Street, in which two legends, Edward G. Robinson and Fritz Lang, collaborated. I have the movie and will be checking the shot. It could be Joan Bennett with her infamous Johnny.
