Another Option For Credits
I think credits should have an option for popularity of character in the movie. For instance, for the movie “Ice Age: Continental Drift”, the credit choices are 1.) as shown in the movie, 2.) alphabetical order, or 3.) popularity of actor.
I tried to find who played the main protagonist in the movie, but I didn’t know the character’s name. Obviously, Ray Romano played the lead character, Manny. However, his name doesn’t show up until fairly far down the list. Now, if done by popularity of character, his name would be at the very top of the list. Same with Peter Dinkalage (sp?). If his character’s popularity as the main protagonist dictated where his name would fall in the credits order, he’d be close to the top near where Ray Romano would be. Doing it this way, we that weren’t sure of his character’s name would be more certain of what it was because his character’s popularity (as the main protagonist) would dictate that it be near the top.
