App not compatible

Question

I am a user on IMDb for nearly 2 decades, and have always carried the app on all my phones, but now suddenly I am receiving a message that I must update to the latest version in order to continue using the app. The problem is that now, apparently, the app is not compatible with my device anymore. How can I fix this? Why is this suddenly happening? I can't not use the app, it's been a valuable movie and TV shows database in my life. I need support

@D_RaYne Please see https://help.imdb.com/article/imdb/mobile-web-apps/imdb-app-general-troubleshooting/GPV9HCYQGA8XT8QZ — if you cannot upgrade the IMDb Android app to version 9.1.3 (or higher) then the app will no longer function later this year. This is why we are messaging you now. Fortunately the IMDb site at http://www.imdb.com/ is now fully responsive, which means all pages work on any size of device, and will therefore work on your phone just fine. The site actually has more functionality and content than the app these days in any case. You can even create a link to the site on your phone’s home (or other) screen which will provide a shortcut to the IMDb site just as if it was an app. Hope this helps.
