Push Notifications don't direct to the app with the proper information

I received a push notification today on my Android Phone. It read something like 5 shows you should watch tonight. Then after I tapped on the push notification it brought me to the usual home page of the app. What five shows? How do I know what to look for out of a million things? I'd expect it to direct me to a page with those 5 shows. IDK about any other users but this happens with every single push notification from IMDB I'm never directed to the proper place it's a waste of time.
