Yes please. I just upgraded to the new Apple TV and was disappointed that Apple doesn't have their trailers app (even though it was slow). I thought an IMDB app would exist and I could watch new trailers from it.
Also if you integrated to the other apps so I could see that a title is available on Netflix or crackle and you had an option to watch now on the Apple TV that would be great. I'd prefer browsing movies and actors on IMDb instead of Netflix interface.
On all apple devices, but even more so on The Apple TV, I think there is a huge opportunity for IMDB to leverage lists and raitings to showcase content from netflix, hulu, hbo, showtime, and itunes (and eventually, Amazon). Imagine the ad revenue or those that would subscribe to remove ads if only the pro version was part of all IMDB apps and not just a multiple listing webpage. Episode Calendar is worth integrating too. Give us a place where we can organize content for later viewing or for tracking and you would be at the center of the situation instead of watching from the sidelines. Netflix killed their API, but you can use apple's trch to deliver to us a way to see reviews before being controlled by the networks.
I want my apple TV app with IMDB integration in it in order to show the movies ratings from IMDB. Can it done. In other words is there any SDK available to integrate IMDB with tvOS application?
I have been thinking about that development, but I am not sure this is possible seen from a juridical point of view. Also, they probably need to open up certain ports for maintenance and update. However I did read somewhere about API's.
IMDB is an excellent candidate for an AppleTV app... watching trailers, exploring artists, directors, top charts etc... then choosing something to watch on AppleTV or theatre... buying tickets etc...you guys... HAVE to do this....
